The interview went fairly well. He said it would be a three stage process. Today was the first and it was basically a first meeting so they could get to know you a little and have you fill out an application and take an aptitude test thingy. The second would be a day long meeting with the team, seeing how they work and giving them a chance to see how we'd fit into the team. The third would be more specifics of the job and that sort of thing. He said he'd call between four and five tonight to let us know, regardless of whether we made it to the second stage or not.
So... 5 o'clock rolled around, and Mom starts saying, "Didn't he say he'd call between 4 and 5? Why hasn't he called? You don't want to work for them..." Not two minutes later, my phone rings and it's him. He chit chatted for a bit, asking how I thought the interview went, and then he said that he'd like to congratulate me because I made it to the next stage! I'm supposed to me him in New Castle on Tuesday.
I still don't know how I feel about this though. I mean, I'm really glad for the opportunity, and it's not like I have anything else lined up at the moment... it's just... I'm not sure I can really see myself in a sales position, much less selling insurance, of all things. We'll see...

I also put in an application at Wendall August Forge today. We'll see if anything comes of that. Still waiting to hear on my other applications. Mom found some ads in the paper today that I'm going to try to follow up on as well, things like dental receptionist and payroll clerk.

Oh, and it looks like with this job interview on Tuesday, I'm not going to be traveling with my family next week. Another thing you could pray about, if you think of it. I'll be home alone for two weeks, and I don't do so well with an empty house. It will be one thing if I get a job, but if I don't... well... we'll just say it won't be pretty...
Well, writing at 1:30 in the morning certainly makes one chatty, now doesn't it? I haven't written this much on my xanga in a long while.
Off to bed, so I don't sleep the day away tomorrow! |
